The manual that comes with the Breakthrough M2 diet states that everyone should drink 50% of their weight, in ounces, daily. For women, they should keep it to 50%, because if you over drink, you have the potential to hold fluids. Over the last month (January 2014), I have asked several women to test this “rule.” They have seen more consistent weight loss with drinking at least 20-24 oz. more than their recommended 50% amount. So in my opinion, women (and men), should drink extra water. My only suggestion is to drink the water about 30 minutes away from a meal. You do not want to flush out important digestive fluids.
