Ingredients
  • 1 pink grapefruit, peeled and broken into fourths (Place 1/2 of your grapefruit segments into the freezer and the other 1/2 place into the fridge. )
  • ¼ – ½ cup water
  • 1/4- 1  teaspoon Vanilla Powder
  • 5 drops SweetLeaf Stevia Vanilla Crème Sweet Drops or 1 packet SweetLeaf Organic Stevia Powder
  • Pinch of cinnamon or apple pie spice
Preparation
Smoothie directions:
  1. Place 1/4 of the frozen grapefruit and ¼ of the fresh grapefruit in the blender with the vanilla powder, stevia, and cinnamon/apple pie spice.
  2. Pour ¼ c of the water into the blender, put the lid on and pulse. If you need it thinner, add a little more water until desired consistency is met.
  3. Scrape the sides of the blender during processing. Serve chilled with a sprig of fresh mint if you have it! Y-U-M!!
Sorbet directions:
  1. Place 1/4 of the frozen grapefruit and ¼ of the fresh grapefruit in the blender with the vanilla powder, stevia, and cinnamon/apple pie spice.
  2. Pour ¼ cup of the water into the blender, put the lid on and pulse, scraping the sides as you go.
Hint: because this makes such a small amount, sometimes it all gets stuck in the bottom of the blender because you’re using such a little bit of water to get the right consistency. If you make a double batch and freeze ½, it can make your job a little easier. These make GREAT popsicles!!!
Optional Ideas
STEP 2 IDEA: Use almond milk instead of water. STEP 4 IDEA: You can also use some unsweetened Greek yogurt in addition to the milk or water to make them nice and creamy.
